Candle Use and Safety
Did you know that candle first use instructions are super important?
It is best to remove any crystals or loose petals before use.
Let the wax melt all the way to the edge of jar wall to ensure an even melt for future use. This will help prevent an uneven burn and help create a candle memory for the future use.
The natural soy and coconut wax may have blemishes on the side or surface of your candle and will not impact on the quality or burn of the candle.
Wick care
Always ensures the wicks remain upright when burning. Never allow the candle flame or wick to come in contact with the side of the glass and always light both wicks if applicable. Always keep wicks trimmed to 5mm prior to each burn. Black residue may transfer if wicks are not trimmed. Remove any residue with a clean, wet cloth when candle is unlit.
Burn time
Maximum burn time for candles is 3-4 hours maximum. Stop burning your candle when 1cm of wax remains at bottom of glass to avoid it overheating which can cause it to explode.
Always sit the candle on a stable, fire resistant surface whilst burning and do not move your candles when lit. Do not use lid to extinguish the candle and ensure the candle is extinguished, wax is solid and jar is cold before handling.
Never leave candle unattended or in reach of children and pets as they are a fire hazard and dangerous.
When your candle has completed it’s full burn, sit the jar in a bowl of warm water to melt the remaining wax and remove the wick. Clean and fully wash the jar and repurpose within the home or recycle. Enjoy the safe use of your candle to nurture, nourish and love your space.
